Design Delivery of Complex Projects

Our Executive Architects have reviewed and improved countless designs for builders and developers over the years. In the process of assisting our builders competing for new work, we have accumulated vast knowledge and developed a keen eye for design risks and value management opportunities early in the process. Over time many of our clients have discovered that it is often cheaper and more effective to engage us to assist the builder with delivery, while still retaining the original design architect as a peer-reviewer for design signoff purposes. Our focus is on keeping ahead of the trades procurement program, reducing potential onsite-errors, and shortening the delivery program.

Design & Construct

Design & Construct (D&C) is a practice where architect & builder are on the same team delivering a project. Advantages of a successful D&C structure include earlier start and shorter construction program, better design buildability, application of innovative construction techniques and processes, all leading to potential cost saving.

Our Approach

CM+A have reviewed countless designs and tender packages for builders and developers over the years. In the process of assisting our builders competing for new work, we have accumulated vast knowledge and developed a keen eye for design risks and value management opportunities early on in the process.

Our focus is on keeping ahead of your trades procurement program. Our typical D&C service begins with a review of the design, where we look for discrepancies, compliance to building codes, authorities conditions, Australian Standards, consultants advice, and more. Our scope then naturally progresses to include value engineering, residual design, RFI assistance, detail documentation, shop drawings review, monthly design certification, and more.
